My Uncles

So, I have 2 uncles that are over fighting in the war over in Afgahnistan. I guess that part of them over there is that they can come home for like a week or something like that, and so right now at this minute one of my uncles is in Atlanta, Georgia flying back to Iowa. I have been waiting for like 6 months now just waiting for one of them to come home. I hope that I will be able to go up and see him!

Edmodo

Ok, I know that I have been posting a lot of posts about like websites and different things like that, and I have another one :)

So there is this website that we use in our Reading class its called Edmodo. Recently I have really started enjoying it more. We use it for all sorts of different things like we use it for Literature Circle groups, books that we read, and then recently we just started collaborating with another school and we talk to them about different books that we have read or are reading (it is REALLY cool). Right now we are mostly just using the part for our Literature Circle Groups, and the book that I am reading is called "Telling Christina Good-Bye" which is a really good book, and we can post comments about the book, and all this other stuff.

Skype

First of all..I LOVE skype. It is fun to use..and very easy.

Second of all I wanted to share this with anybody that reads this..but I got this new Skype for the Mac, and personally I think that it is kind of unique. It has a very different and interesting design to it.

Snow Day

I don't actually "go outside and play" but I can go outside and take pictures of the snow.

There isn't really anything to take pictures of. But I did find a couple of things.

Maybe later I will be able to take some pictures of my brothers playing outside in the snow and then I will put them on my blog! 

Google Chrome

I really enjoy using Google Chrome for various reasons.

-One of them is because they have these things called Chrome Extensions. There are a whole bunch of different extensions that you can get. Like I learned about one called iReader during Reading class. iReader is an extension where if you have a reading on a page that seems kind of small or whatever you click on the "app button" that you press and then it pops up, and it shows that reading on the same page.

So this is a picture of what the button looks like on where you put your URL (Does this "thing" have a specific name?) :

You might want to click on the image so that you can actually see it. But the "app" with
book and then it has the "R" on it, that is the one that you click on.

So then this is what the article would look like on the iReader. It doesn't have to be used on just articles, it can be used for something like a blog post. But the "app" doesn't show up on every page, it only shows up on the pages that you can use it on. So here it is:
